Description
Ongoing drought conditions in Pennsylvania are causing us to take a step back and evaluate our current water resource management practices. Traditional water conservation programs and drought contingency plans generally focus on the demand side of water supply systems by placing restrictions on water consumption. This approach nees to be combined with water source and distribution elements in a comprehensive planning program in order to achieve the most benefit. The overall goal of this project is to jump-start Pennsylvania's municipal water suppliers to develop and implement comprehensive water conservation programs.
