Description
Several important revisions were recently made to the Pennsylvania Safe Drinking Water Regulations (Chapter 109). In addition to clarifying monitoring and reporting requirements for several rules and making revisions to improve data quality, one of the most significant changes is to the IOC, SOC, and VOC monitoring waiver process. Waivers are intended to save the water supplier on monitoring costs. To apply for waivers starting in the 2011 cycle, water suppliers need to submit completed application forms to DEP in time for approval. The revisions to the IOC, SOC, and VOC (Phase II / V Rule) requirements make up a large portion of this training course. Attendees will learn the basics of this rule. Monitoring waiver criteria and applications will also be covered. Attendees will also learn about revisions to the Filter Backwash Recycling Rule, the Lead and Copper Rule, and the Radionuclide Rule that impact monitoring and reporting. Electronic data repo
