Description    
No training is currently offered on WQM and NPDES permits. DEP is the best and most appropriate source of this information- material will be developed, training given, questions answered directly by the regulatory authority. Course will provide info on the permit application process and on permits, with emphasis on new NPDES requirements. Students will have a more clear understanding of what is required, what is not required, what is different in recent permits, how and when to report to the Department.

> Permits by family and species- WQM and NPDES permit types (GPs, individual, sewage, IW, SW), and related approvals or permits needed such as Form U, 26R, PPC Plans. > Permit applications- who can submit, forms needed, permitting process, amendments > Permits- WQM permits and conditions attached thereto; NPDES permits by the paragraph and by the page > Special emphasis on significant changes to permit language, recordkeeping and reporting requirements with mini exercises and Q&A sessions to reinforce proper response to events or conditions > New forms, instructions, aids for preparing various reports > Special conditions- TRE, SW, BMPs, Pretreatment
